Actually I know several people who have everything and are totally arrogant about it -- and nothing bad or tragic has ever happened to them.

I'm fine with that.

I don't really believe that karma catches up with everyone. Or that smug arrogant people deserve to get the rug pulled out from under them.

or that everything happens for a reason.

That being said, you're right in that plenty of people who think the world is their oyster have a rude awakening on the way...
