Amy and Rory were fabulous.

Rory's character arc was one of the best in all of Who.

One of my favorite stories in the Slader memoir is about her being on the road with Tom Baker and realizing that they weren't going to make it back home in time to watch the latest episode when it aired.

So Baker stopped, went to the nearest home, knocked on the door and said "I'm the Doctor and this is Sarah Jane. Can we watch with you?"

And of course these total strangers said yes and invited them in and they all watched together. I may not be remembering this exactly but that's more or less what happened.

This, of course, was back when EVERYBODY watched.
