Back when I wrote for the New York Times, I learned that I wasn't allowed to use the word "poop" in the Times.

Or "turd."

I'm guessing that they wouldn't allow "douchebag" either.

But they're the fucking New York Times!

I accepted that kind of guideline from them.

But from the reader of a condo newsletter?

Sheesh.
