Chicken Soup for the Soul has published several of my stories that had been previously published in Medium.

As a writing coach and editor, I've also worked on stories with my writing clients that were published in Medium and later published in Chicken Soup.

I can only conclude that Medium is considered a small publication as far as Chicken Soup is concerned.
