I don't write fiction so the POV is always mine.

I feel comfortable using the word "fat" because I prefer describing things in a straightforward way rather than resorting to euphemisms.

Based on the responses I've gotten to this piece so far, readers who identify as fat seem okay with the word "fat" but NOT with "obese" or "morbidly obese."
