Thanks for adding to the conversation.

I've heard mostly so far from folks who are binary.

I was hoping to hear from readers who aren't.

I grew up in the 50s and my own mother took gendered clothing very seriously, which was fine for me, since I enjoyed wearing a pretty dress.

Later, when I began to publish feminist and lesbian humor books, I got to know a lot of women who were tormented by being forced to wear girly clothing as kids.
