Every writer on Medium knows that to be happy here, you can’t just write. You also have to read and respond to the work of other Medium writers. Because Medium isn’t just a platform where you can post your own spectacular stories. It’s a writing community where we can all read and learn from each other. If you don’t realize that, you’re missing out on what makes this place special.
How many Medium stories should you read and respond to every day?
Thirty-four.
Why thirty-four? That’s how many posts I read and respond to every day. At least when I’m on the platform. If I’m not on the platform because I’m visiting friends or enjoying the company of my grandsons in California, I won’t post a damn thing. Nor will I read and respond to your work.
But if I’m here? I post every other day or so, and read and respond to an average of 34 posts a day.
Does this include responding to every single comment anyone posts on any of my own 688 Medium posts?
Yes it does.
