I can just see you doing that.

I love the fact that you just picked it up and put it in his lap.

And I'm even happier to learn that you worked on your book for 3 hours!

It amazes me what slobs people can be. Whenever anybody tries to leave their trash behind on Amtrak and I'm sharing a seat with them, I call them on it.

This often happens in the cafe car. I'll be sharing a table with some stranger and when the train gets to their stop they'll just get up and leave their empty cups and plates and used napkins sitting on the table and I'll call after them, " Hey! You forgot to pick up your trash! "

The funny thing is that when I do this, they ALWAYS come back and get it.

it's like they want everyone to think that they fully intended to pick up after themselves but somehow forgot about it.
