I certainly wouldn’t be okay with anybody leaving all their money to their cats and nothing to their human children.

Unless their human children were adults and really awful.

The point I am trying to make is that folks who love their cats and dogs often assume that if anything happens to them, others will, of course, step up and take care of those beloved cats and dogs.

But this doesn’t always happen. So you have to plan and not just trust in luck or that people will be kind.
