I feel the same way.

Once I've finished a story, I don't want to wait around for days before it is published.

That being said, it's worth the wait if the pub has a terrific editor who works with me to make the story better. I'm thinking of editors like Debra Harmon at The Narrative Arc and Kyrie Grey at Jane Austin's Wastebasket.
