I have a friend with one of those great indoor swimming pools where you swim against the current. The pool suddenly broke and when her pool guy came out to investigate, he found that all of the piping used for the pool happened to be made of a kind of plastic that mice loved chewing on. The pipes were all chewed on so much that they leaked, and the pool shut down and there were hundreds of dead mice under the pool. It was a real mess. It cost a ton of money to replace all the piping -- and cleaning out all the dead mice was no picnic either.

So, yeah, this is great advice.
