I have a good friend whose doc told her exactly the same thing under the same circumstances. When she expressed some concern that she could still get pregnant and carry the kid to term, he told her that he was so certain that this couldn't happen that if it did he would pay for the resulting kid's college education at an Ivy League school.

So she threw out her birth control and lived happily ever after.
