I never done that, but I've seen a lot of folks scrub down airplane surfaces with wipes.

On a flight to California years ago, pre pandemic, the woman in the seat next to mine offered me a few wipes with which to wipe down my own armrests and tray tables, and after I accepted she offered me a Valium in case I was anxious about flying! (I didn't take it, but I've never forgotten the offer.)
