I'd write about that if I were you. Not just about somebody else publishing a piece that was suspiciously similar to yours -- but about the fact that they removed the humor. And whether that turned out to be a wise choice on their part. Did their version get more or fewer reads than your original? I'd call it Plagiarism Isn't Funny.
