If nothing else, this is a teachable moment -- for that ignorant teacher! Somebody needs to educate this woman about how to behave -- and for all we know, there could be more teachers at that school who also need to learn how to treat their students with respect.

Should she be fired? Not necessarily. Depends on if she's willing to recognize that she made a mistake, sincerely apologize -- to that student and to the class -- for that mistake, and then LEARN from that mistake.
