I'm both a pro writer and a writing coach who works with writers to help them improve and publish their work and I don't agree with this.

Quality is not subjective.

There is a shared, universal definition of what makes a story good.

If I didn't know how to write a good story, I wouldn't be successful as a writer.

If I couldn't help my editing clients write good stories, which is to say stories of high quality, I'd be out of a job.

That being said, I love this place and I applaud Medium's efforts to maintain this as a human-centric platform despite the onslaught of AI and spam. I hope this new program helps.
