It's a complicated answer. What I often do if I think something has potential to be picked up by a large publication is to publish it first as a free-standing article, rather than in Its a Hardback Life, and see if anybody bites. (If nobody picks an article up after 24 hours, I then publish it in IAHL.) I recently had articles picked up by PSILY and Better Marketing, both of which were then distributed/curated. Had I published them in Its a Hardback Life, would they have gotten distributed? Who knows?
