I’ve got osteoporosis. I always thought that all of the walking I do would protect me, because it’s “weight-bearing exercise” which, in theory, prevents osteoporosis. But it didn’t. Because? I’m thin. I don’t weigh enough for walking to be protective. According to my doc, if I were fat, my bones would be in great shape instead of disintegrating. Which means? You are absolutely right. Health is complicated and nuanced. Anybody who looks at you and says “unhealthy” and looks at me and thinks “healthy” is getting it wrong.
