My mom told me that too!

Later on I further concluded that it was okay if I learned how to do something, as long as I didn't disclose that I knew how to do it to folks who might use the knowledge "against me."

So after I graduated from law school and began working as a lawyer I never disclosed that I could type, let alone that I could type 100 wpm.

I knew that if I did, there would inevitably be a partner at the firm who would want me to type something for him.
