Often they drop their kids off without asking us.

I once had to stop my story time because it kept getting interrupted by an out-of-control toddler.

It turns out that the kid's mom had just dropped him off on his own at story time and was downstairs sitting in a comfy chair reading a book.

At least she was still in the building!
