OMG that sounds like a nightmare.

I once spent 8 months living in Paris and I swam every day at the local pool. It was SO civilized and orderly!

Everybody showered before they got into the pool -- and everybody stayed in their lane and was courteous.

It was lovely.

Somebody ought to write an essay about swimming pool culture in different countries.
