Roseann Barr had a terrific riff in one of her stand-up routines about all the trouble women have to go through to shape a man into something tolerable.

It could be our age.

A few readers have suggested that younger men these days are more nurturing and caring and that they take a lot more responsibility for tending the relationships than the men of our generation.

I've seen some evidence of this in my own family. Hope it's true across the board.
