My feeling is that even if it’s not a marriage vow you made, if you have any kind of moral compass you should respect the fact that another person has made a marriage vow and not have an affair with them.

When I in my 20s, I didn’t feel that way. I figured that if a man who was interested in me didn’t want to respect his marriage vows, that wasn’t my problem.

Over time, I have wised up.

And you’re right — it’s entirely possible that Maggie’s husband was also cheating on her.

That’s one of the reasons I stayed out of it.
