You’ve obviously given this topic a lot of thought and this post is beautifully written and well researched, with the obvious limitation that it’s hard to research a secret system.

I can’t disagree with your conclusions, although my own experience doesn’t reflect those conclusions.

I have family members who write on this platform who have never boosted me.

Ive only been boosted a few times but I’m still satisfied with the amount of money I make on Medium.

But I’m not new to the platform. I’ve been here for over five years and have built up a readership who I can count on to read my work, whether or not it is boosted.

Which, I repeat, it almost never is.

Your post would suggest that things would be different if I were new to the platform. You could be right about that.


I agree with you when it comes to humor being boosted. Rather, when it comes to humor not being boosted. But I’ve given up on kvetching about that.
