There are little girls who are just as fearless.

And little boys who are anxious and cautious.

Loved this piece. But this gender stereotyping gave me pause. I am probably being oversensitive. But I respect your work and so I figured I'd bring it up.

I babysit a lot, and some of my charges aren't gender -conforming and the stereotypes about what boys and girls "are like" can be very hurtful to a little kid who feels as though they don't "measure up" because they are a cautious boy or a girl who isn't careful and cautious.

Okay, getting off my soapbox now...
