They wanted to me write about couples who had divorced and gone their separate ways. It's a cool topic but it would involve a lot of work -- interviewing both members of the couple and then turning those interviews into an interesting essay.

I'd actually be a lot of interested in that topic now than I was at the time -- but the offer is no longer on the table.
