Thinking Others Should Spend Their Time Supporting You While You Spend Your Time Writing
AMEN.
I was recently reading a post on Medium in which the writer was sharing everything he’d done to build up a big Medium earning stream — and then I got to this piece of advice:
Don’t read the work of other Medium writers. This is just wasting time you could spend writing your own work.
I don’t know what he said after that, since the moment I read those words I bailed.
With a lot of regret that he’d made even a penny or two from my interrupted reading of his work.
