This is a valid concern.

If a parent is concerned about whether or not there are guns in a house, they need to ask.

After our divorce, my ex husband strated taking our son to a shooting range. He wanted to give our son a gun and keep it in his house.

I suggested that he keep the gun at the range, which seemed an acceptable compromise.

He told me that he would keep the gun at the house.

When I told him that I knew that many of the parents of our son's friends would be concerned about their being a gun in the house and that I wouldn't hesitate to tell them about it?

He decided not to get that gun after all.
