Truth.

I would probably be considered a success story here -- or at least a success-ish story.

I've been on the platform for over two years, I've got 7.4K followers and Medium even gave me a free T shirt !

And -- I'm a member of the Lucky $500 Club!

But -- I won't make more than $250 this month.

Under the old algorithm, I would be pulling in $1,000+ a month.

Not anymore.

I write on Medium for fun, not money.

I publish in paying markets outside of Medium (On News Break, in Chicken Soup for the Soul, on the Broad Street Review) for money.

That being said, I've never enjoyed writing for anyone (except maybe the New York Times) as much as I enjoy writing on Medium.
