Well that just blew my mind.

… consciousness. Michael says it “felt like there was this vail between me and reality” with coffee. He goes on to explain that a lot of what we describe as our self is actually a “caffeinated self.” Baseline consciousness is caffeinated. It’s weird to wonder what we were like before coffee.
