One thing I wish more Medium writers would learn to do is end their stories with a bit of a punch or a call back or SOMETHING to give the reader a sense of closure instead of just trailing off.

I'm a writing coach and editor and that's one of the things I try to teach the writers I work with. You owe your reader the satisfaction of ending your piece with a conclusion they'll enjoy reading.
